With almost forty years of experience in the public accounting business, Six Seven has substantial exposure in reviewing financial information for a variety of purposes. Our audit background gives us a unique approach to the underlying principles behind the numbers. Many times we have educated clients on how to interpret financial information to spot trends, opportunities and potential problems.

A case in point was when we were engaged to review the financials for a radio station that was to be acquired by our client. We were able to ask and reveal what were nebulous revenues due to the in-kind nature of services traded for commercial air time. Our client thought that the revenues reported were of a direct cash bearing nature when they were recorded only on the books to recognize the barter of services. Although the financials did not disclose this detail we were able to uncover these in-kind revenues due to our knowledge of the industry. In fact when all was disclosed over 40% of the target company’s revenues were of an in-kind nature.

This type of insight is invaluable to our clients in determining value, reliability and complete financial disclosure. Many times numbers do not present the entire story of a business. Our job as a financial analyst is to find out just what makes up the information presented.
